Terry Filipowicz was vice president, and later interim president, of gifted education and psychology book publisher, Great Potential Press, until leaving to accept a full-time faculty position at Pima Community College. At Pima, she's creating a new media program and teaches communication, digital arts, and journalism. She provides media consulting plus communication, writing, and public relations services to those involved in education and the creative industries. She's also worked in PR for two universities, but most of her career has been in television news as a producer and writer, in Arizona and California. Terry also presents regularly at Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) and at media and higher education conferences. Lastly, she holds regular workshops and events on media and writing, is certified as a SENG Model Parent Group Facilitator, and served on the advisory board of the documentary film, The G Word.
